1. Overview
The Business Process Analyst - Centralised Operations plays a pivotal role in maximising operational efficiency and driving digital enablement across Visy Logistics' global forwarding operations. Acting as a central point of expertise, this role supports process standardisation, automation tracking, and performance visibility across centralised functions, with a focus on Salesforce and related platforms.
Reporting to the Process Excellence and Training Manager, the Analyst supports global process improvement initiatives-developing working instructions, designing KPI dashboards, tracking automation impact, and enabling training effectiveness. The analyst support the Centre of Excellence by providing operational performance insights, conducting audits, and assisting in performance analysis.
This individual works closely with regional and national stakeholders to document and standardise business processes, enhance Salesforce configuration and data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across freight management, order processing, and customer interactions. The role also partners with external consultants to implement automation and ensure technology adoption is aligned with evolving global business needs.
This is a hybrid role bridging business analysis, process improvement, and system optimisation-delivering measurable improvements in service quality, operational scalability, and digital adoption.
2. Key responsibilities
* Support Process Standardisation and Working Instructions Development:
-Document, standardise, and maintain critical logistics processes in collaboration with the Process Excellence and Training Manager.
- Use structured mapping tools to create clear working instructions that enable scalable operations, support training delivery, and facilitate compliance and audit-readiness across regions.
* Design and Maintain Operational Dashboards and KPIs:
- Build and maintain live dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators across centralised operations and shared services.
- Partner with the Process Excellence and CoE teams to ensure accurate, relevant, and timely visibility of metrics that support continuous improvement and business transparency.
* Track Process Improvement and Automation Outcomes:
- Monitor and assess the impact of process improvement and automation initiatives.
Work with internal stakeholders and external consultants to quantify efficiency gains, identify residual process gaps, and support change adoption through data-driven reporting and corrective action tracking.
* Provide Operational Support to the CoE Performance Framework:
- Assist the Centre of Excellence by supplying operational performance insights, managing data analytics, and supporting regular audits.
- Contribute to improving SLA compliance, reducing processing discrepancies, and supporting tactical improvements to execution quality and throughput.
* Coordinate Cross-System Alignment and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Ensure alignment between core systems (primarily, Salesforce and CargoWise) by documenting integration points, reconciling data flows, and identifying workflow conflicts.
- Foster engagement with internal stakeholders and third-party consultants to support smooth adoption of new or optimised processes.

1. Experience and qualifications
* Mandatory (critical for the role)
• 3+ years of experience in business process analysis, operations support, or Salesforce administration, ideally within logistics or supply chain.
• Proven ability to document and standardise processes across regional or global teams.
• Practical experience with Salesforce setup, user management, and reporting.
• Familiarity with logistics systems like CargoWise and how systems interact.
• Skilled in using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for KPI tracking and reporting.
• Experience supporting automation or digital improvement projects.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across different countries.
* Desirable (preferable for the role)
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methods.
- Experience with automation tools or workflow platforms (e.g. RPA, approval flows).
- Background in training design or support, including tracking outcomes.
- Certification in Salesforce, Lean Six Sigma, or business analysis is a plus.
2. Skills required
* Technical:
• Skilled in Salesforce administration, including user setup, workflows, reports, and dashboards.
• Strong Excel abilities for data analysis and performance tracking.
• Experience with dashboard tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiar with logistics systems, especially CargoWise.
• Able to document processes using tools like Microsoft Visio or Camunda.
• Comfortable managing working instructions in platforms like SharePoint or Confluence.
• Basic understanding of automation logic, RPA workflows, or approval process design.
* Business:
• Strong analytical thinking and process analysis to identify gaps and improvements.
• Able to gather requirements, define KPIs, and track performance trends.
• Skilled in working instructions development and version control.
• Capable of managing small projects or supporting multiple initiatives at once.
• Confident in working with stakeholders across teams and regions.
• Understands how to align process improvements with business goals and cost efficiency.
• Knowledge of logistics or freight forwarding processes is a plus.
