We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to handle a wide range of financial responsibilities. As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting, managing accounting operations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving process improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the financial statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing activities.
2. Taxation & Aud
it Support• Responsible for preparing and filing VAT, PIT, CIT and other relevant tax reports to ensure compliance, coordinate with the competent tax department to handle tax related matters.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
3. Management Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting
• Prepare financial and management reports for internal review and decision-making.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor actual financial performance against the planned targets.
• Prepare monthly rolling forecasts, dynamically monitor their execution, issue timely warnings, and propose improvement suggestions.
4. Cost and expense management
• Responsible for the collection, allocation, and analysis of production costs (such as direct materials, direct labor, manufacturing expenses).
• Monitor the financial compliance of production processes (such as waste disposal and work hour recording).
• Monitor inventory management, BOM (Bill of Materials) cost and actual differences, analyze product gross profit margin, and provide data support for pricing strategies.
5. Cashflow and working capital management
• Prepare 3 months rolling cashflow forecasts, propose payment and collection plan to the leadership.
• Manage the working capital risk (inventory, trade debtor, and trade creditor), propose working capital improvement strategy and monitor the execution.
• Liaison with the bank, working closely with business operation team to control the credit risk by proposing creative supply chain financing initiatives.
6. Back-End Operations
• Set up the accounting system for the newly established company.
• Financial reporting and audit liaison with the tax authorities.
• Set up internal control procedures to support internal process improvements and implement efficient accounting and administrative workflows.
• Draft the standard operation procedure to improve the efficiency of the operation of the finance department.
• Manage office expenses, petty cash, and supplier payments.
• Serve as a liaison with external service providers (banks, tax authorities, government agencies).
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Min Degree in Accounting/Finance. Post qualifications from professional bodies such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA would be advantageous to the role.
• Must have: Chief Accountant certificate.
• Min 4 years of relevant experience in Chief Accountant role with deep understandings of Vietnam Accounting law and taxation regulations.
• Good Microsoft office skills particularly strong capability in Microsoft Excel
• Able to work not only independently but in a team as well, prioritize and meticulous in discharging responsibilities
• Language: English proficiency is required; Chinese is an advantage
• Priority (not compulsary) for candidates who can start immediately and live near Long Bien, Hanoi
Annual Wage Supplement equivalent to one (1) month's salary for each complete year of service. And, Variable Bonus which will be paid based on the Company's profitability and your individual performance, in accordance with the prevailing policy.
