Mô tả công việc
We are looking for a potential candidate for our Construction Assistant Manager position. A potential candidate has management experience in a construction & project management consultancy/ Developer Company. The position shall be responsible for entire construction site activity for an industrial construction project located in Hai Lang District, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. And this is a permanent position.
1. Pre-construction for planning of building project: 10%
- Coordinate with P&C on recommendation for design drawings & tendering.
- Issue of Request for Proposal (including statement of work document);
- Interview for clarification of proposal submitted by tenderer.
- Coordinate with P&C on tender evaluation and recommendation main contractor for the building project for management approval.
- Prepare LOA and Contract for signing by QTIP and contractor.
2. To oversee the overall project and construction management of projects at site to ensure the project are completed and handed over to relevant departments or customers on time: 40%
- Implementing and follow-up on QA/ QC & safety systems
- Issue site possession letter and coordinate with P&C team for issuing of construction drawing to successful contractor.
- Coordinate with a contractor for the application of Building Construction Permit.
- Lead a team of supervisors under his charge for the supervision and inspection of construction work carried out by the contractor throughout the Project Duration and also the Defects Liability Periods.
Overseeing all on-site and offsite construction projects to monitor
3. Project tracking report: 20%
- Conduct periodic monthly and/or weekly meetings with contractors and supervision team depending on the scale of the project, to review and discuss the progress on the construction site and address any concerns or site issues.
- Assess the work of the contractors periodically. Review the weekly progress report, fortnightly progress report, and monthly progress report.
- Prepare monthly budget versus actual expenses report.
Monitoring action taken by contractors to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the site.
4. To liaise and coordinate with various parties in order to get job done satisfactorily: 10 %
- Liaise with consultants on issues related to design and site condition and also liaise with other departments for site coordination during construction stage.
- Liaise with Technical authorities with regard to local regulations concerning construction.
- Coordinate with local authorities to carry out as built inspection upon completion of building construction. Co-ordinate with EMD, M&E, W&S and LAD for the handing over of the completed project
5. Progress payment and final account certification for all construction projects handled by the department: 10%
- Check the work progress valuation submitted by the contractor and do payment recommendations for management approval.
- Check and certify the final account statement upon successful completion of the project.
6. To look into general staff matters, general admin matters and ISO of the department: 10%
- Manage all administrative works performed by admin assistant as described in her job description.
- Monitor implementation of the ISO procedures and train all staff to be proficient with the ISO systems.
- Coordinate with HRA for recruiting and interviewing executive construction staff based on the demand and workload of the department.

- Educational qualifications/expertise:
- Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of experience relating to management construction of infrastructure work and building work.
2. Relevant knowledge and skills:
- Have knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001.
- Must have good spoken and written communication skills in English.
- Have the ability to lead a team of supervisors under his charge to check, inspect and monitor construction activities especially roads, bridges, dams, canals, structural building & architectural works carried out by contractors according to contract drawings and specifications.
- Have the ability to plan and organize his duties in order to meet targets and objectives.
- Ability to coordinate with various parties to ensure smooth progress of work.
- Ability to prepare written reports and keep proper documentation of projects.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Auto Cad is preferred.
- Presentation skills; Communication skills; Conflict Resolution skills; Problem Solving and Making Decision skill and Time management skills are necessary skills for the job.
