The Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) will report directly to Chief of Party /
Project Manager and be responsible for overall management of Construction Quality Control (CQC) of the Prime Contract for each phase of the Contract, i.e., construction, mechanical fabrication and installation, and operation.
• Act in CQC matters for Nelson with other project stakeholders.
• Develop and overall manage the implementation of Construction Quality Control Plan (CQCP).
• Develop and maintain quality control plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with quality, industry specifications and safety standards
• Conduct regular inspections of materials and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Oversee accepted inspection and testing methods for fabrication and construction including visual inspections, dimensional inspections, material testing (NDT and DT), weld inspections, coating inspections, concrete testing, electrical testing and plumbing testing.
• Identify and document any defects or non-conformities and implement corrective actions
• Develop bidding documents and budgets for fabrication and construction projects
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Prepare and present quality control reports and recommendations
Company Information: Nelson Environmental USA, LTD was awarded the Prime Contractor to implement the works of treating and cleaning soil at Bien Hoa Airbase. The Company completed the designing stage and is building a treatment facility to decontaminate soil and sediments on and around the Bien Hoa Airbase.
Project Information: Launched in 2019, the Dioxin Remediation at Bien Hoa Air Base Area Project is remediating dioxin-contaminated soil to reduce the risk of exposure to people on the air base as well as in the communities that border it, and to restore the land for full use.
Project Site: is located at Bien Hoa Airbase, Dong Nai province, Vietnam.
• The CQCM must have a minimum of 5-years experience in supervising construction of similar type WORK.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and protocols.
• Experience with implementing material and fabrication inspection techniques.
• Experience with developing bidding documents and construction budgets.
• Ability to identify and analyze quality control issues.
• Ability to develop and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in quality control software and tools.
• Experience providing oversight for subcontractors on international USG projects;
• Demonstrated high level organizational, communication, leadership, problem solving, and time management skills.
Prefer Qualifications:
• Previous experience working internationally to support U.S. government remediation and construction projects;
• Previous experience working internationally to support U.S. government remediation and construction projects;
• Experience with construction and operation of thermal treatment systems;
• Environmental compliance experience with dioxin remediation systems;
• Experience in the management of USG or other donor funded programs;
• Familiarity with USG procedures and protocols, reporting and organizational structure.
• Certificate of 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Training or equivalent.
