The Director of Finance will lead all company accounting and control functions of the division.
They will oversee various aspects such as accounting, credit, purchasing/ inventory control, budgeting, compliance, and Information Technology. The Director of Finance's is a member of the leadership committee and is responsible for directing financial operations to ensure profitability. All areas of tax compliance, budgeting, reporting, cost control etc. are key deliverables for this role. The incumbent will be responsible for the Growth and development of the team and ensuring adequate succession planning.
Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions
Responsible for management of the Hotel's Finance function which includes Procurement. The Finance Director is also responsible for the management of the Information Technology Function.
DOF is a member of the LC with responsibility of overall hotel management
Manage and lead hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, reporting and cash management;
Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, involving the department managers in this process.
Directly supports the General Manager with the contractual obligations under the Owner Management Agreement and any other such contracts.
Manage internal and external financial compliance in accordance with normal accounting practices.
Responsible for the successful completion of the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Manage external auditor's visits, respond to auditor requests, approve any and all adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final audit;
Aid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plans;
Responsible for the Information Technology function. Ensures that all relevant hotel systems are functioning according to Hyatt requirements.
Responsible for the operation of the Procurement Department.
Collaborates with relevant departments to ensure the accuracy of all financial forecasts along with the General Managers, directly liaises with Regional Finance on all financial matters.
Review financial performance and work alongside managers to reduce cost and maximize revenue.
Conduct or ensure all Training and Evaluations are completed as required by Hyatt
Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures
Complete various additional tasks as needed by General Manager.

Yêu cầu
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Finance or Accounting/ ACCA qualified
Must have a minimum of 10 years progressive accounting /finance experience, 6 of which must be at a Managerial level
Must be able to demonstrate exceptional performance, including effect cost control strategies.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds;
Hotel accounting experience, particularly with Hyatt Corporation would be considered an asset.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization in order to achieve sustainable results for the organization.
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills;
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service.
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English;
Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel;
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
