Maintenance Leader

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The position holder is responsible for the technical supervision and maintenance of the machines, facilities and equipment in order to ensure a smooth and trouble free operation at all time.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES - KEY ACTIVITIES

• Manage Mechanical and Electrical Workshop, leading, instructing and training of the team.

• Ensure that safety regulations are observed and safety equipment are used by the team.

• Carry out repair and maintenance tasks and provide mechanical engineering service for the whole plant.

• Supervise and follow up on actual progress of each repair and maintenance activity.

• Detect errors and faults on machines and facilities in case of malfunction.

• Manage, organize and control all repair work and delegate specific tasks to the team.

• Manage unplanned work resulting from breakdowns and emergencies.

• Closely cooperate with other service departments of the company.

• Provide scheduled maintenance plans (preventive maintenance), monitor tasks in progress in order to meet the maintenance deadlines.

• Schedule, prioritize and assign tasks for repair and maintenance work efficiently.

• Find and evaluate possibilities to improve and optimize machines and facilities.

• Supervise greasing work on machines (according to greasing manual).

• Engineer and manufacture machine parts, devices, spare parts, components etc.

• Prepare and review monthly reports.

• Obtain cost estimates for devices, tools, spare parts in cooperation with the superior and the purchasing department.

• Supervise repair and maintenance work carried out by external companies.

• Support and promote the Company's Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).

• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

• Ensure that hygiene and quality requirements are fulfilled.

• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

• Control and monitor maintenance parts inventory
