Job Summary

The Automation/ Manual QA Engineer contributes to GeoComply's success by testing and reporting on the quality assurance of our software to ensure applications are functional and provide a great user experience for all of our customers by developing and using automated tests. This role will report to and take direction from the QA Project Lead. The Automation QA Engineer continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes and maintains open communication with all team members.

You have an intermediate understanding of manual and automated testing principles. You are able to interact daily with systems that are used in professional software development such as JIRA. You are able to, and enjoy, working with multiple teams across locations, have good communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience working in short, agile, iterative development cycles and have a great passion for working in agile development process environments.

What You Will Be Doing

• Create and maintain test strategies, test cases, checklists and test suites based on product requirements and test plans.
• Execute all testing activities to improve product quality.
• Create test plan, execute test cases, document and track all issues in a timely and systematic manner
• Provide quality report & make Go/No go decision
• Review solution documentation & provide feedback with the analysis
• Implement ad-hoc testing, identify and define bugs across mobile & web
• Work closely with the development team to design testing strategies.
• Have complete responsibility to design automation testing framework and enhance. End-to-end automated test coverage.
• Ability to manage QA/QC group joining some agile projects.
• Proactively identify areas of improvement and work with the engineering team to continuously improve the product experience
• Ensuring product quality across mobile and web platform

1. Automation QA Engineer:

• Post-secondary education or training in a relevant field
• At least 1+ years experience in a similar role
• Experience in testing with Web, API, Android, iOS
• Experience in Selenium, Appium, and Robot framework
• Good coding experience in Python
• Strong knowledge in system design, design patterns, OOP
• Experience in working with the CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins,Git)
• Experience using professional software development systems such as Jira, Git and Confluence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of the software development process, especially the software testing process.
• Intermediate written and spoken technical English, enough to discuss issues with teams remotely

2. Manual QA Engineer:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in software testing (manual testing experience is required; automated testing is a plus)
• Familiar with mobile testing on both iOS & Android platforms
• Familiar with API testing (SOAP/RESTful)
• Strong in root cause analysis
• Detail-oriented and a passion for bug-free code and product experiences
• Great communication skills and a good team player
• Good understanding of manual test procedures and writing test cases
• Technical degree required; Diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems background preferred
