The Opportunity

As a member of the Regional Office Control & Compliance team, you will be responsible for key aspects of improving financial control & compliance of the country offices and Asia Regional Office in the region which includes review of country office financials, analyse control & compliance review results etc.
Two key components of the role:
1. Supporting Asia Regional Programming Unit financial matters.
  - To provide the finance support to Asia Regional Programming Unit based in Bangkok remotely, which includes financial management for SIDA (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) cross- region project and accounting operations for Asia Regional Programming Unit
2. Assisting Asia Regional Office (ARO) Accounting matters.
  - Assist ARO Accounting Manager on accounting and auditing matters of ARO

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

1. Supporting Asia Regional Programming Unit financial matters.

To Provide the financial support to sub-regional office including payment preparations, journal entries, month/quarter/year end process, fund request, budgeting and forecasting process for Sub-regional office etc.
Provide the accounting support for SIDA cross-region project in particular, includes the budget preparation, consolidation and revision, also produce the financial report for budget holder to review, as well as other finance work assigned by line manger relating to SIDA project.

2.Assisting Asia Regional Office (ARO) Accounting matters.

Assist ARO Accounting Manager on accounting and auditing matters of ARO
To Improve Trial Balance quality which includes: monthly review of balance sheet, Monthly Financial Review (MFR) focusing on debtors, liabilities, control accounts and fixed assets and provide systematic feedback; improve Cos traffic light report
Ensure effective implementation of HPO projects like S2P and CAPP

To ensure timely cost recovery for ARO staff in scope for cost recovery (eg TA, REALM, etc)
