PERSOLKELLY's Client is a Foreign Contractor with offices all over Asia. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to oversees projects in Vientiane - Laos.

Senior Mechanical Engineer (SME) - Vietnamese Only

Based on Vientiane Capital - Laos

Knowledge Responsibilities:

Responsible for executing, preparing and submitting PLUMBING, FIRE FIGHTING & HVAC Design that includes tender preparations (drawings, technical data) and Site Supports (Shop drawings, technical assistance).
Approve the design in compliance with specifications & client expectation.
Coordination/ Schedule control. Planning and organizing manpower and personnel deployment coordination with the tender and / or site requirement
Contact with client and diligently defend the interest of the company.
Contact with suppliers, subordinate company staff, and Import/local Logistic Department staff.
Responsible for technical design & workable solution, cost control as expected in the preparation of the quotation
Prepare and assign employees to prepare take off, review quantities, technical data / specifications, drawings, and all others required documentations.
Permanently monitor the following and updating of the schedules and company's success in reaching required submittal/completion dates.

Functional Responsibilities:

Safety: Ensure safety as the priority on all project related activities and take all practical steps to safeguard employees and other individuals from injury.
Project Investigation and proposal preparation: Realize site inspection and project specifications & drawings analysis; Issue preliminary design to design team; bill of quantities to enquiry supplier or Product Manager for customized or specification equipment; Revise proposal submitted as per variations requested by clients
Contract execution preparation: Execute detail design including, load calculation, design criteria, heat loads... schematics, drawings final selection of equipment; Prepare construction document to the site including BOQ of equipment, Construction drawings, and copy of Purchase Orders without value, Technical specifications, & Equipment documentation.
Procurement and Purchasing: Support the PM/CM/SM on the preparation of the material requests; Provide technical support to procurement divisions during final negotiations with suppliers / sub-con before entering to contract.
Quality assurance and control, Testing/ Commissioning: Coordinate with QA/QC in order to facilitate QA/QC activities following installation progress; Ensure that quality of works/ products/ productions can be guaranteed as being in accordance with contractual requirements and Technical

Reporting/ Documenting:

Reporting to the Manager / Site Management on the situation of the part of the tender, design and project under her/his responsibility with regards to technical performance, progress, problems, results, general performance, action plans, etc.

Requirements:

Educational background in Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering Degree
Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in M&E Project
Extensive technical knowledge on Mechanical systems particularly in ACMV, Plumbing and Fire Fighting System.
Ability to work in a team as leadership, to take decision and evaluate priority, respect engagement.
Good interpersonal and negotiation skill.
Able to communicate and write in English.
Proficiency in MS Offices, Ms Project, AutoCAD.
