Senior System Engineer

The Role

Senior System Engineer is to design, implement and maintain the system infrastructure for RMIT Vietnam. He/ she should hold the technical expertise and background of relevant solutions, including but not limited to Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure), Virtualization, Servers, Storage, Windows & Linux Operating Systems...

Your Responsibilities

• Design, Deploy and maintain server/platform infrastructure
• Leading the technical aspects of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Evaluate new products to increase the efficiency of corporate system infrastructure.
• Provide research and assistance with the implementation of technology solutions.
• Keeping informed of developments in system/platform and cloud technologies.
• Analyse and Troubleshoot server/platform-related issues.
• Document corporate server/storage/platform infrastructure.

• A minimum of 5-7 years' experience as a system engineer. Certified MCSE or Linux LPI is preferred.
• Experience across the infrastructure stack to include server, storage, virtualization, and tools are also expected. Database experience is a plus.
• Experience working with Cloud Computing technologies: AWS, Azure. Certified AWS or Azure is preferred.
• Experience within a Directory Service stack. (Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, GPO, AD Federation, SAML, ADFS, Multi Factor, Azure AD connect).
• Experience working with VMware, Hyper V, & Azure solutions
• Experience completing logical and physical design documents.
• Experience with Multi-vendor hardware and software solutions.
• Familiar with milestones, measuring risks, completing cost estimates and operational design documents.
• Working knowledge of automation, monitoring, build/provisioning processes, workload automation and virtualization capacity management concepts.
• Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position and RMIT Values
