Job Description

Katalon is seeking an individual who has a true passion for writing and has a desire to make an impact in their next role. In this internship you will gain valuable experience in writing blogs, white papers, and eBooks for the technology field. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on topics in technology through research and direct interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). You will partner with the Product team on many projects throughout the internship. If you're looking for a role with opportunity for development and accelerated growth, this may be the internship for you! This is a fantastic opportunity for a college senior or those early in their career.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the Lead Technical Writer to understand business line objectives and how that translates to writing activities
Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)
Proofread and edit text for technical clarity, accuracy, grammar, consistent terminology, and style
Write original content for the company to promote thought leadership
Maintain and update projects on department Trello board
Most importantly: ask questions, learn, and have fun!

Qualifications

Working towards or have recently obtained a BA/BS degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research and comprehend complex technical concepts
Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with G Suite by Google (Google Apps for Work)
Organized and attention-to-detail approach with strong tactical execution
Excellent research, analysis, and structured thinking capabilities
Transcripts will be required
Prior working or internship experience is desired
Understanding of SEO best practices
Ability to work in an open office environment
Willingness to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of offshore team members
Ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast-pace work environment
Ideal CandidateKatalon is looking for a versatile, intelligent candidate who can hit the ground running and who possesses the skills highlighted above. The individual will possess a "student" mentality and a desire to grow in the role. The individual must be a self-starter who can take direction and apply new skills to address tasks for the role. The ideal candidate would be an individual who is approaching graduation or one who has recently graduated. The ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to grow professionally and learn new skills.
