* JOB PURPOSE
Teaching Assistant supports the teachers in enabling the students to gain independence and participate fully in the curriculum and general life of the school.
* Responsibilities and Duties:
Art Teaching Assistant (80%)
• Maintain and carry out regular maintenance and minor repair tasks on all machines and equipment in relevant teaching spaces to ensure safety and reliability.
• Clean and sharpen hand tools and maintain good order and organization of the workshop and storage facilities.
• Keep sinks and worktops clean, keep stock rooms clean and in good order.
• Prepare materials and equipment for lessons and projects, including preparation of demonstration materials and resources and the stocking of classrooms with consumable materials.
• Order resources through the correct channels, receive incoming goods, check delivery notes and confirm invoices.
• Assist in the production of risk assessment where applicable.
• Provide in-class support to teachers and students where necessary.
• Ensure that teacher requirements for individual lessons are effectively met prior to and at the end of each lesson.
• Prepare display materials and equipment for parent evenings, art exhibitions if requested.
• Organize and implement the supporting of students online to set up and support teacher with online lessons.
• Undertake other tasks as requested by line manager.
• Any other duty as assigned by the Head of School after due consultation.
Teacher of Literature (20%)
• Create an organized, disciplined and stimulating learning environment for students in the classroom.
• Enhance practical experiences and other educational activities appropriate to individual or group learning.
• Have a teaching assessment plan by applying it in practice including learning methods, abilities and interests of students.
• Conduct verbal and written student assessments and evaluations and present to principal and/or direct manager and parents accordingly meeting the prescribed deadline when requested.
