Wagner German is a world-renowned manufacturer of painting equipment. With the establishment of a new subsidiary factory in Vietnam, we have several vacant positions available for the new facility. We are currently seeking to recruit a proficient Functional Safety Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that all our standard products, as well as engineered lines, meet the essential CE (European Conformity) certification requirements.
Job summary:
This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to compliance, quality, and safety standards across our product range; implementation of functional safety for products and systems; contact person for machine safety and explosion protection; and develop standard products and systems in the field of powder and wet paint coating systems
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in standardization committees for the development of new guidelines and standards.
• Key figure in product standardization and certification
• Collaboration in standardization committees with specialist experts and authorities
• Lead the CE certification process for new and existing products, including engineered solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant European health, safety, and environmental protection legislations.
• Conduct thorough product reviews and risk assessments to identify applicable directives and harmonized standards for CE marking.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required by CE marking procedures, including technical files, Declaration of Conformity, and user instructions.
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate compliance requirements from the design phase.
• Coordinate with external testing laboratories and certification bodies to arrange necessary product testing and certification.
• Provide expert advice and training to internal teams on CE marking requirements, changes in legislation, and compliance best practices.
• Monitor and report on the compliance status of products, including maintaining records of certification and testing results.
• Participate in product design reviews to ensure compliance with CE certification requirements and to identify potential improvements for product compliance and safety.
• Expert in machine safety and concepts of explosion protection
• Preparation of risk assessments, conformity declarations, and support for type testing
• Others tasks assigned by department head.
