Our Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital.
Strategy and Transactions - Valuation, Modeling and Economics (HCMC Office)
Your Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed financial analysis and construct complex financial models for valuation purposes.
Perform the analysis of historical financial performance and financial position in the business valuation for various purposes (e.g. M&A purpose, tax purpose, financial reporting purpose, purchase price allocation, etc);
Discuss the assumptions that Clients are using in their business plan
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and gather data for comparative analysis.
Perform the research of comparable companies and comparable transactions which are used as inputs of market-approach valuation;
Prepare comprehensive valuation reports and presentations for clients, clearly communicating the and underlying assumptions.
Assist the audit team to review the valuation reports prepared by other valuers (e.g. property valuation reports, Purchase price allocation report, goodwill impairment review, etc) as an audit procedure;
Mentor and guide junior staff in valuation techniques and best practices.
Skills And Attributes For Success
To qualify for the role, you must have
Graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Audit, Banking or related field
Strong accounting and financial background (with 1-2 year working experience in the same position or in Audit will be preferred);
Ability to build basic financial models;
Working experience as M&A advisors, financial due diligence advisors will be a plus;
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
Excellent analytical, project management, multi-tasking, communication, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills;
Ability and flexibility to work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of work deliverables;
Having good learning attitudes, diligence and paying attention to details;
Experience working with public data sources and analyzing economic indicators
