Job Title: Customer/Community Relations Specialist
Reports to: Customer Success Manager
Location: Remote/Volunteer Position
Position Overview:
The Customer/Community Relations Specialist is responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with the STEAM for Vietnam community (including educators, school admins, students, and parents). This role involves acting as a voice for the community, advocating for their needs within the organization, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community engagement, strong communication skills, and the ability to represent and amplify the voices of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Community Engagement and Advocacy:
Act as the primary advocate for the STEAM for Vietnam community, representing their needs, concerns, and feedback within the organization.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, ensuring they feel valued and heard.
Engage with the community through various channels, including social media, forums, events, and surveys, to gather insights and foster a sense of belonging.
Feedback and Communication:
Collect and analyze feedback from community members to identify common themes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Communicate community feedback to internal teams and collaborate on solutions to address concerns and enhance the overall experience.
Develop and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters, updates, and reports, to keep the community informed and engaged.
Advocacy Campaigns:
Develop and implement advocacy campaigns that empower community members to take an active role in the organization's initiatives.
Coordinate and lead community events, workshops, and forums that provide opportunities for members to connect, share ideas, and collaborate.
Amplify community voices by highlighting success stories, testimonials, and positive experiences through various communication channels.
Community Support and Education:
Provide support and resources to community members, helping them navigate their involvement with STEAM for Vietnam.
Develop educational materials, guides, and FAQs to address common questions and empower community members to get the most out of their participation.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field. Relevant experience in community engagement or advocacy is a plus.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience in community management, customer advocacy, or a related role.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire a diverse audience.
Passion for community building and advocacy, with a deep understanding of the importance of stakeholder engagement.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in using social media, community management platforms, and communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a non-profit, start-up, or educational organization.
Familiarity with the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education sector.
