Position summary

We are looking for someon who will lead the scrum and agile processes for our Technology squads. This involves facilitating, organising and making changes to sprints, in accordance with agile and internal principles. As scrum master you will chair the daily meetings and interact with the teams questioning on where processes are for the day. At the same time you will produce valuable BI insights to assist the business leaders to drive development and decision making.

The role requires a range of analytical and research skills to drive the growth of the business. The scrum and business analyst will need to immerse themselves across multiple business lines to conduct analyses to support the development of our products and develop impactful reports through the use of various business intelligence tools. Through this the candidate will develop potential solutions to complex problems and challenges with systems, data and processes.

We have various teams in different countries and the SBA is responsible to ensure it all comes together through various time zones and interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the technology BI strategy and approach;
• Responsible for business reporting across the technology department;
• Develop and analyse BI tools;
• Make evidence-based recommendations based on BI data;
• In conjunction with HR and line management implement performance metrics, systems and reporting for technology squads;
• Experience with one or more data analysis languages such as Python or SQL;
• Create and deliver standard BI reporting;
• Responsible for the administrative functions around agile methodologies and related meetings;
• Ensure effectiveness and efficiencies of the agile processes are followed for multiple technology and QA teams;
• Organize and facilitate sprint planning, daily Scrum meetings and stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews, sprint planning sessions, demonstrations and any related internal meetings;
• Responsible for throughput/delivery across all aspects related to sprint and other;
• Track and communicate team progress, as well as sprint progress and highlight risks;
• Responsible for SCRUM, stand-ups and monitoring;
• Coach individuals and interactions over sprint processes and the software used;
• Responsible for tracking and removing impediments in the sprint process;
• Act as liaison and central communication point for Product / technology and QA;
• Assist in ensuring teams are productive and efficient withing core operating hours;
• Ensure leave planning is done to maximise output;
• Assist in maintaining/ensuring call updates are current and statuses are accurate on Confluence/JIRA etc;
• Ensure sprint success ratios are maintained according to agreed metrics;

• Solid spoken and written English;
• At least 3+ years' experience facilitating scrum and agile processes;
• Have at least 3+ years of experience as a business analyst or Business intelligence analyst;
• Have relevant certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Product Owner (CSPO)
• Have excellent 'Google-fu' and great research skills both on and offline;
• Expert level excel skills;
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modelling skills;
• Degree and or diploma in relevant qualification will be advantageous;
• Experience implementing performance management processes and systems in a technology team;
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
• The ability to develop solutions from complex data sets;
• Experience with conflict management within a multidisciplinary team;
