THE OPPORTUNITY
The Research Impact and Engagement Specialist, reporting to the Head of Research Management, will oversee research project coordination, research impact and communication at VinUni. Key duties include securing and managing external funding, enhancing research visibility through communication, and establishing research collaborations. The Specialist will also develop management processes and organize scientific events.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management and Coordination:
- Oversee and coordinate the implementation and approval of research projects.
- Manage documentation and ensure academic integrity.
Support and Consultation:
- Assist faculty and researchers by providing guidance on project requirements and proposal completion to secure external funding.
Funding Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiate and manage external funding sources.
- Discuss terms with sponsors, ensuring compliance with management regulations, research support policies, and legal requirements related to funding contracts.
External Funding Oversight:
- Ensure effective management and utilization of external funding for research projects.
Communication and Dissemination:
- Enhance research recognition by publishing news, articles, and updates on research outcomes.
- Promote the visibility and impact of research activities.
- Manage research branding through the website and other digital platforms.
Collaboration and Partnership:
- Establish and manage research collaborations with external partners.
- Handle contracts and agreements related to research partnerships.
Process Development:
- Develop and implement processes for managing funded research projects.
- Create and maintain forms and procedures for research management.
- Identify and communicate funding opportunities to researchers at VinUniversity.
Event Organization:
- Organize scientific conferences and events.
- Enhance research capacity for faculty and students.
- Foster collaboration within the research community.
