The Job

GFT is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Fullstack Developer to join our exchange team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining a cutting-edge trading platform with a global presence across APAC, EMEA, and North America. Our team aims to provide a seamless and secure trading experience for our clients. As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will be integral to designing, developing, maintaining, and improving software for multiple key verticals, focusing on Exchange, Finance, and Trading capabilities. This role involves actively participating in architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and product implementations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage in frontend and fullstack development activities, including architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and product implementation.
• Create and enhance web applications in a distributed environment.
• Develop prototypes for new ideas proposed by you and the team.
• Take ownership of your projects with the freedom to experiment with new technologies.
• Identify issues and implement solutions to complex problems in large-scale backend infrastructure, mobile, and web platforms.
• Manage documentation of all code and functionalities implemented.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps and other engineers to improve the tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives.

Your Skills and Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fullstack development.
• Mandatory: Strong proficiency in AWS and Kubernetes for containerized development and deployment.
• Mandatory: Extensive experience with [protected info] for front-end development.
• Mandatory: Proficiency in Python and [protected info] for server-side programming.
• Experience in FX, Crypto, or Equities electronic trading businesses.
• Proficiency in Trading UI design and implementation.
• Solid understanding of architectural principles for single-page web applications.
• Understanding of Blockchain technology is an advantage.
• Proficiency in handling scalability, security, and performance.
• Mobile development experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of additional front-end frameworks and technologies (e.g., [protected info], Mobx, XState, Redux).
• Knowledge of additional server-side programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Java).
• Strong interest in building first-class products to solve real-world problems.
• Self-motivated, fast learner with a "get things done" mentality.
• Humble, eager to improve, and open to challenges and possibilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to juggle conflicting requirements from various stakeholders.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for junior positions.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with React Native, backend for frontend architectures, microservice development.
• Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization practices.
