• Manage inventory levels at the retail stores and distribution centers from Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. (AFI) as well as third party vendors, on all product categories; provide executive level updates on inventory management.
• Budget and forecast inventory levels.
• Generate strategic and cross-functional plans to maintain optimal inventory levels at the regional distribution centers and retail stores based on sales and financial goals.
• Create strategies and action plans to reduce despised inventory levels.
• Gain visibility of distribution center inventory and collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on process improvements.
• Ownership of imports invoicing process to ensure invoices match the purchase orders prior to receipt of product in the US. This will ensure that all products are received at the proper cost, therefore providing an accurate average cost of goods.
• Update and maintain item pricing for import purchases and container freight pricing as provided by AFI to ensure proper forecasting of container savings.
• Prioritize and optimize the inbound flow of trips from AFI Domestic, Import, and 3rd Party Vendors into the Retail Distribution Centers. Communicate to internal partners of potential and realized customer impact based on the prioritization.
• Build containers for Promotional, New Product Launches, and in-n-outs.
• Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
