POSITION TITLE: ARCHITECTURAL INTERN
FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES (FBOs):
The Bloom is looking to employ an Architectural Intern to assist the Design Manager / Lead Architect in civil engineering design and construction projects. You will have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of the architecture industry, including the design process, building codes, and construction materials. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design Support:
Collaborate with architects to develop design concepts.
Complete preliminary design drawings under the guidance of the lead architect.
Proficient in using CAD, SketchUp, and other design software to create drawings and 3D models.
2. Construction Supervision Involvement:
Accompany the lead architect on site supervision visits to understand the construction process and requirements.
Assist in documenting, reporting construction progress and any issues that arise.
3. Researching Materials and Design Solutions:
Research and study new building materials and modern design solutions.
Stay up-to-date on trends in design and advanced construction technologies.
4. Client Collaboration:
Participate in client meetings with the lead architect to gather feedback and assist in design adjustments.
5. Project Management Support:
Assist in planning and managing the progress of design and construction projects.
Participate in the preparation of project documents and files.
REQUIREMENTS:
Final year student or recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other relevant software.
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and with a strong desire to progress.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Basic communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
