COMPANY INTRODUCTION
The Canadian International School System - Vietnam (CISS-VN) operates three programs in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Canadian International School System - Vietnam (CISS-VN) consists of:
1. The Canadian International School (CIS) serving Kindergarten - Grade 12 students where the Ontario curriculum is taught. The IB Diploma Program is also offered to students in Grades 11 & 12.
2. The Canadian International School - Bilingual Program (BCIS) delivers the Vietnamese National Curriculum, from kindergarten to Grade 12 and the ESL program which is tailored to meet the needs for English language fluency. BCIS also offers students with 2 pathways in secondary (from Grade 9 to Grade 12): MOET high school diploma or IGCSE for A Levels.
3. The Albert Einstein School (AES) now offers education from Early Years (3 years) to Grade 12 (18 years). The program will be the Vietnamese curriculum from Early Years to the National Diploma and provide an international pathway from Grade 11 studying the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE Australia).

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Canadian International School (CIS) is looking for potential candidates for the position of Assistant Intern to CIS Secondary Guidance Counsellor with the following details:
Attend and translate meetings with parents; support translation of follow-up letters and documentation.
Organize and update all eLearning TDSB transcripts electronically 4 times a year and arrange delivery and shipping to Post-Secondary Institutions.
Coordinate and distribute Letters of Recommendation - this includes requests from students, completion by teachers, Guidance Counsellor and Principal are completed and sent to universities.
Assist in documentation and support for University Scholarships.
Assist in the planning and execution of Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony in June.
Support in organizing organize University visits/workshops (various dates) and CISS College & University Fair (October).
Assist in communication between Guidance Office and non-English speaking parties - including parents, CISS staff, outside contractors, etc.
Assist in investigation of Child Protection Cases and development of Policy.
REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements:
Bachelors or studying in Education, Counseling, or other related fields and/or experience in Career & Guidance Counseling.
Proficient in English encompassing reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a team on a variety or projects
