JOB DESCRIPTION
This intern will mainly support education program team to prepare, roll-out project activities
in establishing a digital library for children with disabilities under Our Better Angels Program.
Meanwhile, contribute to project design of One Place One Story Project in 2025. Expected
works will be done under Program Officer guidance including:
1. Report and update upcoming team schedules and consolidate working progress on a
daily/weekly basis.
2. Brainstorm to enrich learning resources for a digital library and review quality of volunteer
work (script and clips of learning materials) with constructive and timely feedback.
3. Provide mentorship and quality standard to volunteers in generating digital learning
materials.
4. Support in administrative works.
Consolidate feedback from volunteer team.
Support training and meeting schedule arrangements.
Support in payment document submission.
Support logistics, translation and documentations related works.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential knowledge, skills and attitudes:
A graduate or junior/senior in any field, preferably in the field of Social Works,
international affairs or English;
Interested in children with disabilities, education and social issues;
Good sense of responsibility with high initiative;
Have an open mind, friendliness and eagerness to learn new things;
Good planning and analytical skills;
Experience in leadership or coordination role through any volunteering works;
Good in written and spoken English.
Desirable skills and competencies;
Experienced in making media products (writing video scripts or editing clips);
Know how to use basic video editing software (Canva, Filmora, Adobe Premiere, etc);
Be creative and critical thinking
Length of commitment: continuous 6 months at least or longer term up to 1 year.
Estimated working hours: at least 3 days per week or can be full-time. Specific time will be
negotiated before starting

Job Summary:
Join the Lawrence S. Ting Foundation as a Volunteer Video Editor and help create engaging and educational videos for our Digital Library for Children with Disabilities (soon the official website will be published).
We're looking for 3 enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for video editing and a keen eye for detail. Your work will play a crucial role in teaching essential life skills to children with disabilities (CWDs)
Key Responsibilities:
a. Video Editing: Based on scripts, visual materials, voiceovers, and background music, edit and compile complete videos.
Address technical issues that arise during editing.
Edit and refine video clips that provide life skills instructions for CWDs
Import raw footage into the computer, use video editing software & effects to
edit and enhance video quality
Follow the script to ensure logical sequence and storytelling.
Finalize videos with the highest quality and content suitable for CWDs
b. Media Management: Collect and import all media assets in various formats to video editing software and ensure they are correctly formatted for editing and well-organized
c. Collaboration: Work closely with other volunteers to maintain high standards for all video content.
d. Quality Assurance: Coordinate with team members to ensure all content meets our quality benchmarks.
e. Additional Duties: Specific responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Requirements:
Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a bachelors degree in design, communication, film production or a related major.
Can work 3 full days per week or 6 half-day per week, online or in office
Video Editing Software: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar video editing software
Audio Editing Tools: Basic knowledge of audio editing tools to improve sound quality.
Computer Systems: Experience operating computer systems and equipment for video editing and effects.  Storyline Understanding: Ability to understand the storyline and purpose of the videos.
Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure video content is polished and professional.
Creativity: Ability to enhance videos with a keen sense of creativity
Personal Skills and Attributes:
Deep interest and passion for the nonprofit sector.
Eager to learn, possess a positive attitude, receptive to feedback, and excited to hone skills.
Must have a "can-do" attitude, be able to work under pressure

b. Video Production: Using the provided scripts, shoot and edit videos that guide children with disabilities through various life skills.
Review and discuss the script with the team to clarify content and ideas.
Set up scenes for each video frame
Ensure lighting, props quality to meet overall standard
c. Collaboration: Work closely with other volunteers to maintain high standards for all video content.
d. Quality Assurance: Coordinate with team members to ensure all content meets our quality benchmarks.

REQUIREMENTS
Essential Requirements:
Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor's degree in design, communication, film production or a related major.

Skills: Strong content creation skills with a keen sense of creativity, good taste in color & layout, adaptability to new trends, and a quick learning ability.
Proficient in graphic design; experience in video production with a proven portfolio is a plus.

Audio Equipment: Familiarity with using microphones and audio recording devices (phone, camera)
Lighting Equipment: Understanding of how to set up and use lighting for video production.
Personal Skills and Attributes:
Deep interest and passion for the nonprofit sector.
