Job Summary:
Welding Supervisor provides welding support to the project teams by applying knowledge of welding processes and industry welding codes (ASME, AWS, API, DNV, etc.) to specific piping and equipment applications and services. The Welding Supervisor is responsible to support for the Production Lead, qualification, fabrication and technical support during installation/construction, of all activities related to welding of structures and pipe fabrication in accordance with Project Specification.
JOB DESCRIPTION/ MO TẢ CÔNG VIỆC
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES / NGHĨA VỤ & TRÁCH NHIỆM
- Have technical and experience in SAW welding and FCAW welding for pre-project process (WPS) workpiece running.
- Install welding machines or perform test welds for testing and test products.
- Repair, maintain and monitor the company's welding equipment during production.
- Propose repair, maintenance materials, welding machine spare parts to the team leader.
- Set up welding programs, welding modes, welding techniques according to the team leader's instructions (Miller, Lincoln, Esab, Hugong...)
- Participate in improving welding equipment to increase work productivity and optimize machinery.
- Train welders to operate automatic welding equipment column & boom, gantry welding
- Instruct welding staff, coordinate work, evaluate work performance, etc.
- Review written welding instructions and meet the necessary requirements of staff. Additionally, the welding supervisor may be required to write welding instructions, determine testing requirements, and prepare reports related to codes.
- Ensure that all welding operations are performed according to the requirements of certain codes and standards.
- Work as directed by superiors.
- Report to the Equipment Manager.
AUTHORITY/ QUYỀN HẠN CÔNG VIỆC:
- Direct welding for projects.
- Receive welding skills training and welding industry knowledge from manufacturers (Miller,Lincoln, Esab..)
- Supervise a team of welders
- Conduct fault analysis and root cause analysis on welding problems.
- Plan from execution to delivery.
