About the role
We are looking for a 3D Artist to create photorealistic renderings of toys, board games and their packaging for a leading European toy manufacturer. You will turn print-ready production data - dielines, print files and layouts - into product visuals used across packaging, e-commerce, print catalogues and social media in international markets.
Your Responsibilities
Product rendering
• Realistic 3D visualization of game components and play materials
• Creation of packaging renderings
• Creation of setup and in-use scenes
• Representation of different materials (wood, cardboard, plastic, metal)
• Visualization of special finishes (varnishes and coatings, neon colours, hot foil stamping,etc.)
E-commerce and marketing
• Cut-outs (clipping paths / transparent-background images) for packaging back panels
• Amazon infographic and explainer images
• Detail shots of game components
• Rendering of complete game setups
• Production of image assets suitable for international use
Technical execution
• Implementation of rendering briefs
• Processing of die-cut data (dielines), print data and layouts
• Adherence to specified scale and proportion requirements
• Colour-accurate execution in line with corporate design guidelines
• Asset preparation for multiple channels (print, web, Amazon, social media)
• Self-review of output against dielines, briefs and channel specifications before delivery
• Maintenance of reusable scene templates, asset libraries and consistent file
naming/versioning

Must-have
Software
• Blender - advanced proficiency
• Cycles rendering, shader/material nodes, UV unwrapping,procedural texturing, lighting setup
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign - basic working knowledge
Rendering competence
• Photorealistic product visualization
• Lighting and material design
• Creation of clean cut-outs / clipping paths
• Packshot creation
• Rendering of complex board game setups
• Import, cleanup and accurate 3D reconstruction of packaging from dielines supplied as AI,PDF or DXF
• Studio lighting fundamentals, including behaviour of reflections on glossy, lacquered and metallic-foil surfaces
Product understanding
• Understanding of toy and game components and materials
• Understanding of how games are set up and presented
• Ability to depict game mechanics correctly and clearly in visual form
• Experience with board game, toy or consumer-goods projects
Language
• English at B2 level or above - able to read and correctly interpret written briefs and communicate with the German-based team
Portfolio
A portfolio or reel including at least one product visualization or packshot project. Shortlisted candidates complete a short test assignment: one packaging render produced from a supplied dieline.
Nice-to-have
• Experience with children's and family games
• Experience producing Amazon content, including familiarity with Amazon main-image requirements (pure white background, -85% frame fill, minimum 1600 px on the longest edge, no text or logos on the main image)
• Experience with animation or short product videos
• Experience with international licensed products
