About the team
The AI team at Lumin is responsible for delivering the value of AI products to users worldwide. The team's core mission is to innovate through AI and help create accessible, trusted and intuitive products that enable seamless collaboration at work. This team works closely with product managers, software engineers, designers, and relevant business functions to develop a deep understanding of how the products can be developed and delivered. This role reports directly to product managers and the Head of Development.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Team Lead to spearhead our AI initiatives and drive innovation in our SaaS products. As the AI Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding a team of talented AI engineers, setting the technical direction for AI projects, and collaborating with cross- functional teams to integrate AI solutions into our product ecosystem.
Responsibilities
As a AI Team Lead, you are responsible for:
- ◦ Develop and execute the AI strategy aligned with company goals and product roadmap.
- ◦ Develop POC, present AI project progress, results, and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- ◦ Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and designers to identify and prioritize AI-driven features and improvements.
- ◦ Oversee the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, from ideation to production deployment.
- ◦ Drive the adoption of best practices in AI development, including model evaluation, testing, and monitoring.
- ◦ Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and evaluate their potential applications to our products.
- ◦ Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables for AI initiatives.
- ◦ Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Your Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for the AI Team Lead role should possess:
- ◦ Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- ◦ 5+ years of experience in AI/ML roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership position.
- ◦ Strong technical background in machine learning, deep learning, and data science.
- ◦ Expertise in Python and popular ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- ◦ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tools.
- ◦ Proven track record of successfully delivering AI projects in a production environment.
- ◦ Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- ◦ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- ◦ Experience in natural language processing, computer vision, or recommendation systems is a plus.
- ◦ Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- ◦ Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- ◦ Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
