Job Overview
We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our technology team and take responsibility for application implementation, maintenance, incident recovery, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of business applications.
The role involves working closely with internal technology teams and external partners to ensure applications are deployed, maintained, and enhanced effectively, while minimizing disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the design, enhancement, and development of existing or new applications in collaboration with relevant technical teams.
Monitor and maintain application availability, performance, and stability in accordance with agreed service levels (SLAs).
Investigate and resolve application issues, production incidents, and technical problems in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Architecture, and other cross-functional teams to implement application enhancements and improve system performance and reliability.
Participate in application implementation, system deployment, testing, release, and post-deployment support activities.
Contribute to project reviews, technical assessments, and application improvement initiatives.
Monitor progress of assigned technical activities and identify opportunities to improve application processes and operational efficiency.
Develop small-scale applications, scripts, or supporting tools to improve operational effectiveness and automate repetitive tasks.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, procedures, and other relevant application documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Development, Application Maintenance, Application Support, or a combination of these areas.
Experience working with enterprise applications; experience in the banking/financial services or other large-scale business environments is an advantage.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong experience with: MS SQL, .NET Framework, Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, Web Services / API
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
Good understanding of application architecture, system integration, and technical dependencies.
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good documentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
