Role Description
We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join our AI and Product Development team in Hanoi.
This role focuses on building real-world AI applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and modern AI engineering frameworks.
You will work on developing intelligent assistants, AI-powered financial analytics, agentic workflows, and enterprise AI solutions that integrate with FiinGroup's proprietary financial data and business platforms.
Rather than focusing primarily on training AI models from scratch, we are looking for engineers who can apply, integrate, optimize, and deploy AI technologies to solve real business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and open-source models.
Build AI Agents, tool-calling workflows, and intelligent automation solutions for financial and enterprise applications.
Develop and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), APIs, and external tools.
Integrate AI capabilities with financial databases, internal systems, and enterprise applications.
Develop backend services and APIs supporting AI applications, using Python and modern development frameworks.
Experiment with prompt engineering, structured outputs, context management, and LLM orchestration techniques.
Evaluate and optimize AI solutions for accuracy, latency, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and business teams to transform business requirements into production-ready AI solutions.
Research and prototype emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and open-source projects.
Qualifications
Strong programming skills in Python, with solid knowledge of
software engineering principles.
Experience developing backend applications, REST APIs, and integrating third-party services.
Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs or open-source language models.
Understanding of LLM application development, including prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and context management.
Familiarity with AI application frameworks or SDKs such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalent technologies.
Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git, and modern development workflows.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research, prototype, and implement new technologies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
