Overall Job Purpose:
The Area Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing field force team to deliver sustainable growth within the company portfolio. This role combines people management, strategic leadership, sales execution excellence, and deep market engagement to ensure successful achievement of business objectives while maintaining strict compliance standards.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
Direct and motivate the area team by fostering a collaborative environment with Marketing, Medical, FFE, and Training departments.
Oversee end-to-end people processes, including strategic recruitment, talent retention, and tailored professional development plans.
Drive top-line performance in the Primary Care sector through optimized resource allocation and continuous team training.
Field Force Excellence & Execution
Conduct weekly coaching calls with subordinators to provide actionable feedback and ensure alignment on regional priorities.
Translate corporate business strategies into local execution plans through high-impact regular cycle meetings.
Synthesize and consolidate field insights into weekly executive reports for senior management updates.
Market Intelligence &
Business DevelopmentSpearhead pre-launch planning and execution strategies for new product introductions.
Act as a subject matter expert by sharing real-time market trends and competitive intelligence to inform regional strategy.
Build and nurture sustainable, high-value relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and strategic customers.
Compliance & Governance
Governance: Provide consistent coaching and oversight to ensure all field activities strictly adhere to company policy and industry compliance standards.
Agility: Execute additional strategic projects or tasks as directed by functional leadership to support evolving business needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (mandatory).
Minimum of 5 years in the healthcare industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role within the pharmaceutical sector.
A proven and documented track record of managing mid-sized sales teams and delivering consistent growth.
Prior experience in gynecological therapeutic areas is highly advantageous.
Strong familiarity with the Hospital Tender process and Doctor Private Clinic model
Professional fluency in English and Vietnamese (both written and spoken) is required for reporting and stakeholder management.
