Assembly Line Supervisor (Furniture Manufacturing)

Reports to: Vietnam Production Manager & US Headquarters, San Francisco Office
About the Role (Furniture Manufacturing Industry):
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Line Supervisor to oversee the assembly line and production of goods within our manufacturing facility. The majority of working hours are spent on the production floor in direct oversight of assembly .
The Assembly Line Supervisor oversees daily operations of the assembly line to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating workflow, resolving production issues, and driving continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and output.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of Production Line Supervision experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors, production staff, warehouse manager, and logistics providers to ensure efficient flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
• Active involvement with the production and assembly teams to directly supervise the activities of assembly line workers throughout each shift
• Actively participate in assembly process as needed to support the team
• Ensure production schedules and output targets are met
• Conduct hands-on quality checks and enforce quality control standards throughout the shift
• Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
• Train, coach, and evaluate assembly line employees; ensuring that all members are cross trained in all assembly processes
• Assign tasks and manage labor to optimize efficiency
• Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and resolve equipment issues in real time
• Maintain accurate production and performance records
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and management teams
• Conduct regular training sessions on proper techniques; Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members to foster a collaborative environment.
• Ensure line staffing is maintained by regularly recruiting and interviewing additional workers as needed
