Role Description The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at NOVOTEL PHU QUOC RESORT in Phú Quốc. This role supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet brand cleanliness and safety standards.
Responsibilities include supervising housekeeping and laundry teams, organizing work schedules, inspecting rooms and facilities, and coordinating with other departments to respond promptly to guest requests and feedback.
The Assistant Housekeeping
Manager helps manage inventory and use of cleaning supplies, implements standard operating procedures, and supports training to maintain high service quality. The role also contributes to staff engagement, supports hiring and onboarding of team members, and promotes an inclusive, respectful work environment aligned with Novotel's values.
Qualifications
Strong supervisory skills to lead housekeeping and laundry teams, oversee daily operations, and support performance management.
Hands-on experience with housekeeping and laundry processes, including room cleaning standards, linen care, and equipment handling.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues and address requests in a professional manner.
Experience in hiring, coaching, and training staff, with the ability to build a collaborative and supportive team culture.
Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, preferably in a resort or international hotel environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Proficiency in basic computer applications; knowledge of hotel management or housekeeping systems is an advantage.
Relevant vocational training or a diploma/degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is beneficial.
Conversational proficiency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
