Job Responsibilities
As an Associate of the Legal Team, you will play an important role in supporting a wide range of legal and compliance matters across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with in-house counsels, internal teams, and external counterparts to help ensure the business operates in a legally compliant and effective manner.
Support in-house counsels in reviewing and responding to new laws and regulatory developments to ensure compliance across daily operations.
Monitor legal and regulatory changes issued by local authorities, and provide timely updates and reports to supervisors and management.
Support other departments by providing legal advice and assisting in legal task forces and projects.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address legal and compliance issues effectively.
Implement and monitor compliance action programs, including 1)Legal and compliance checks; and 2)Training programs for staff on legal and compliance matters.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Bachelor's in law.
More than 4 years of experience in the banking sector or a law firm is an advantage.
Qualification as an attorney-at-law is an advantage.
Strong command of English, both written and spoken; Japanese language skill is an advantage.
Strong analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A strong sense of teamwork, responsibility, initiative, and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
