Job Description
Design, test, and optimize automated equipment & robotics for device assembly.
Lead DFM and DFMEA reviews during early product design stages.
Partner with automation vendors/integrators to qualify custom assembly lines.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software equipment failures.
Requirements
Bachelor's in Mechanical / Automation / Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
8+ years
in automation engineering with hands-on equipment development and factory deployment.
Led specification, development, FAT/SAT, and factory commissioning of automated manufacturing equipment.
Deep expertise in: robotics, precision motor control, adhesive dispensing, vision-guided pick & place, screw driving, AOI systems.
Experience with Design for Automation (DFA) influencing product architecture early (pre-EVT) to enable automation feasibility.
Ability to generate detailed functional requirement specifications (FRS) for automation systems.
Proven automation vendor management from RFP through acceptance testing.
Experience managing cross-functional, global teams and CM automation programs.
