The Job
We are seeking experienced and passionate Back-end Engineers (Java or PHP) to build high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications for our clients.
You will work on multiple projects, collaborating closely with PMs, front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions, including effort estimation.
- Design application architecture, structure, and database.
- Develop and implement APIs.
- Write unit and integration tests; ensure code quality, security, and performance.
- Maintain existing systems; troubleshoot and propose improvements.
- Lead and mentor junior developers.
- Produce technical and functional documentation when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, QC).
- Engage with clients (mainly Singapore-based) in English.
Your Skills and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development (Java or PHP).
- Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture.
- Experience with Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.) or PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Strong experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern development protocols (MQTT, WebSocket, RPC).
- Unit testing, integration testing, and code quality best practices.
- English proficiency for technical communication.
Preferred:
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP).
- Prior experience with large-scale enterprise applications, Education or Healthcare projects.
