Backend Engineer/Web Developer Python, .Net, SQL

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our AI-driven products.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable and efficient backend systems for AI-powered applications
• Collaborating closely with AI researchers and developers to integrate algorithms into production
• Optimizing system performance and ensuring robust API integrations
• Ensuring the security and reliability of backend services, particularly in high-stakes educational environments

Your Role

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our AI-driven products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable and efficient backend systems for AI-powered applications
• Collaborating closely with AI researchers and developers to integrate algorithms into production
• Develop robust APIs and services that enable seamless communication between AI models, front-end interfaces, and other system components.
• Deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or equivalent) to ensure system scalability and cost efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional design sessions to continuously improve the overall system.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in backend development, AI integration, and cloud computing to drive innovation within the team.
• Ensuring the security and reliability of backend services, particularly in high-stakes educational environments

Requirements

• At least 5 years of backend development experience with Java or Python or .Net
• Strong proficiency in SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Experience in NoSQL design, construction, and operation (Amazon DynamoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.)
• Solid understanding of API design principles (RESTful, GraphQL) and experience implementing secure, maintainable, and scalable APIs.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure - AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway) or Azure (App Service, Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, R&D-focused environment
• Passion for applying AI technology in real-world scenarios, particularly in education
