Job Summary: The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive sustainable growth, strengthen market position, and maximize brand equity. This role leads annual brand planning, innovation initiatives, integrated marketing campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Planning
• Develop and implement long-term brand and category strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Lead annual brand planning, including target setting, budget allocation, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify growth opportunities through consumer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis.
• Translate consumer and market insights into actionable business strategies.
2. Innovation & Portfolio Management
• Lead New Product Development (NPD), product renovation, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
• Work closely with R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product launches.
• Manage the product lifecycle and recommend portfolio actions to maximize growth.
• Evaluate product performance and profitability and drive corrective actions when required.
3. Marketing & Communication
• Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns (IMC) across online and offline channels.
• Ensure consistent brand positioning and consumer experience across all touchpoints.
• Manage advertising, media,
digital marketing, consumer activation, and promotional programs.
• Monitor campaign effectiveness and continuously optimize performance.
4. Performance Management
• Monitor brand health, sales performance, market share, and marketing effectiveness against agreed KPIs.
• Analyze consumer behavior, category trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develop action plans to close performance gaps and accelerate business growth.
• Provide regular performance reviews and recommendations to management.
5. Budget Management
• Manage and control brand budgets effectively to ensure efficient use of marketing investments.
• Monitor spending and optimize Return on Investment (ROI).
• Ensure effective cost control while maintaining growth momentum and brand competitiveness.
6. Cross-functional Leadership
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams to deliver brand objectives and business targets.
• Collaborate closely with Sales,
Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and External Agencies.
• Drive alignment across departments to ensure successful execution of brand initiatives.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
