Technical Consultant

Responsibilities

Perform business process, user requirements analysis and documentation as part of consulting services for customers and internal enablement; Provide testing support for solution development and implementation; Assist sales teams with sales activities and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.Primary Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst
- Talk to client stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements and formally document them. Initiate and lead requirements workshops for the client to elicit requirements.
- Translate the requirements into actionable items for design and development.
- In Agile projects, translate the requirements into User Stories.
- Manage out-of-scope requirements and endorse them into the Change Request process.
- Validate delivered software against the agreed requirements/user stories to ensure that client in-scope requirements have been satisfied.
- Analyze defects and translate them into actionable items for the development team and work with the development team as necessary to expedite resolution of defects.
- Create project documentation as needed and assigned (Requirements Specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Plan, Test Results, and so on).
- Write and publish meeting notes, including Key Points, Action items, and Decisions.
- Participate in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of business analytics offerings.

As a QA Analyst
- Lead in the planning for all types of testing applicable to projects (for example, System integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing, and Regression Testing).
- Prepare test cases/plan, including exception cases, based on the agreed business requirements.
- Ensure that projects have sufficient test coverage for all applicable types of testing.
- Document test cases, test results and log down defects in a Defect Log.

Additional Responsibilities

Research and review business processes and new Business Analytics and IT advancements and provide recommendations for improvement and modernization.
Be agile and adaptable in supporting delivery of core or even new business analytics solutions and offering.
Support internal enablement and upskilling of consulting team.
Support Consulting Operations related to Learning & Development, Resource Management, and and Project Management Office- related activities in the future, as necessary, with the goal of improving Thakral's project delivery capabilities.
