Business Development Associate (Environmental/ Water & Wastewater Treatment)

Overall governance
• Support the implementation of related policies, standards (such as ISO), guidelines, and regulations under the guidance of senior team members to ensure work practices are aligned with organizational policies.
• Assist in the documentation and refinement of department work processes, procedures, and goals to contribute to efficient operations.
• Assist in monitoring and managing assigned tasks or resources to ensure they are effectively utilized and aligned with departmental priorities.
Function-related accountabilities
• Technical Support
o Collaborate with the seniors in designing water and wastewater systems, including pipelines, treatment plants, and pumping stations.
o Perform calculations and data analysis under the guidance of the seniors.
o Assist in drafting technical drawings using tools like AutoCAD
o Prepare design documents, including layouts, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Project Support
o Support project planning by developing schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
o Monitor progress of ongoing projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
o Conduct site visits for inspections, troubleshooting, and progress evaluations.
o Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and equipment.
o Participate in stakeholder meetings, taking notes, and following up on action items.
• Regulatory and Compliance Assistance
o Assist in reviewing designs and plans for compliance with local, state, and other regulations.
o Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
o Compile required documentation for permits and approvals.
• Documentation and Reporting
o Prepare comprehensive technical reports summarizing project progress, findings, and recommendations.
o Maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, and revisions for audit and review purposes.
o Draft presentations and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Other accountabilities
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions to stay updated on emerging technologies and practice in water and wastewater engineering.
• Regularly review engineering literature, case studies, and industry publications to enhance knowledge.
• Seeking mentorship and guidance from senior team members to improve technical skills and professional acumen.
