Cacao bean selection and purchasing:
- Responsible for quality in bean selection/ purchasing (based on Marou Internal Standard)
- Responsible for quality in improving fermentation processes (Giving advice for farmers based on Marou Guideline)
Sourcing Development:
- Survey and update the bean supply and market
- Search, expand, discover new potential fermenters/ areas of cacao
Relationship management:
- Maintain and develop the relationship with fermenters/ pod-farmers
- Coordinate with related departments to participate in projects to develop cacao beans
- Solid communication with and provide support to trainer/ expert (if any)/ Line Manager
Contract execution:
- Responsibility for execution of purchase contracts
- Solid communication with, and/or provide support to finance and logistics team
Sustainability Development:
- Support for implementation of sustainability projects/strategy in terms of agronomy specialty in cacao tree with pod-farmers.
- Understand the risks of quality variation and proactively solve the raised issues regard to quality and farmer relationship.
- Improvement of fermentation process to reach the standard quality bean
- Other tasks assigned by Direct Manager
Working time: Monday - Friday ([protected info])

- Have experience working in the agriculture field or experience working with farmers (must have)
- Having sensory ability is an advantage
- Able to travel as often as required
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
- Proficiency in MS Office (word, powerpoint, excel,...)
- Good at communication & negotiation skills
- Teamwork
- Honest, responsible, creative and innovative, adventure.
