KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare design and technical information in CAD drawings in support of new and existing product development.
• Interface with product
developers and
designers to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
• Operate computer-assisted design (3D CAD) and drafting workstations.
• Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications.
• Revise and correct any errors in the drawings or plans.
• Ensure all drawings and blueprints are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Interact with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and deliver accurate draft plans.
• Maintain updated knowledge of AutoCAD software, drafting standards, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with field engineers to update drawings as needed, ensuring accuracy by verifying factory drawings, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating corrections with the PLM product manager or sampling coordinator.
• Work in project management system to understand, prioritize, and report on assigned tasks.
• Review and analyse specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
