Description We are recruiting for Cargo Freighter Operations Officer for Hanoi, Vietnam. The selected candidate will be responsible to supervise the freighter operations team and to ensure smooth running of cargo operational functions relating to freighter operations.
Responsible for smooth cargo operations at the region through close coordination with the GHA's and staff within the stations. Continuously monitor and develop adherence to regulations outlined by local authorities and regulatory bodies and ensure strict compliance to IATA regulations for effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo whilst reducing operation costs involved.
Accountabilities
Ensure smooth running of cargo operational functions relating to freighter operations.
Ensure all ULDs are built safely, and GHA is aware of QR standards and adhering to them. Personal oversight of all freighter pallets must be enforced on all freighter flights.
Ensure smooth interface from Sales/ GSA to GHA including booking priorities, clear FBL instruction and priorities are given to GHAs, special cargoes are handled correctly, pre-alerts sent.
Ensure flight load is commercially maximized as a priority. Secondly, is to then ensure no unnecessary mix loading is sent to the hub.
Understand the operational interface with the hub and ensure problems are resolved prior to departure to the hub.
Directing staff and GHA to contribute highest level of service standard and optimum utilization of space and available payload by coordinating with Ground Handling Agents and inter departments.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance services offered whist reducing operational costs incurred in the region. Further be a part of the airline operating committee to address infrastructure issues etc. (On a continuous basis to implement new strategies in coordination with Cargo HDQ in the vision of taking the service levels to a better standard)
Develop robust and consistent reporting at the station level to identify all non-conformances for all stakeholders in the supply chain including GHA, GSA/ Sales, Booking discrepancies, Ramp, Hub (for import problems). Ensure all irregularities are centrally recorded in CROAMIS.
Constantly monitor the cargo handling in the region and suggest to the Cargo HDQ best practices to be implemented within the region to achieve operational excellence.

Qualification
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of related experience
Experience in Airline or Air freight industry
Good knowledge of Cargo Operations is a must
Managerial skills - ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.
Detailed knowledge of IATA Cargo handling, IATA Cargo Services Manual, DGR regulations and other pertinent operational regulations.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
You must have the legal rights to live and work in Vietnam to be considered for this role.
