Job Summary
The Chief Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting records, statutory financial reporting and tax compliance under Vietnamese regulations. This role works under the supervision of the Senior
Accounting Manager and supports the CFO in meeting statutory accounting obligations.
The successful candidate will closely collaborate with other General Accountant to monitor daily accounting responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with the existing General Accountant on daily accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS.
• Review accounting entries, reconciliations and supporting documents.
• Prepare/review VAT, CIT, PIT and other statutory tax filings.
• Coordinate with bankers, auditors and tax authorities.
• Review payment requests and accounting vouchers.
• Maintain accounting records and statutory documentation.
• Support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Line Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Valid Chief Accountant Certificate is mandatory.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience; General Accountant/Senior Accountant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of VAS and Vietnamese tax regulations.
• FDI experience is an advantage.
• Experience in fintech, lending or financial services is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good Excel and accounting software skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, proactive and willing to learn.
• Good at English is preferred.
