The
Accounting Manager will act as a leader in Accounting function who will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, robust financial reporting processes and systems in adherence to Local GAAP, Company Accounting standards, other local regulations (tax, banking,...) and internal control requirements.
The Accounting Manager masters accounting dimensions, both under Local GAAP (VAS) and potentially IFRS.
Success in this role will be measured by:
reporting accuracy;
timely delivery of reports;
well understanding and analyses of financial statements and reports; and
contributions in maintaining and identifying opportunities for improvement of financial reporting processes and systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES - KEY ACTIVITIES
Key tasks and responsibilities of the Role
Be responsible for preparation and delivering of periodic (month-end, year-end) financial reports / financial statements
Lead the month-end / year-end closing and reporting process
Check and approve daily accounting records (posting entries / journal vouchers) and payments
Master of Local accounting system and inventory costing process
Perform accounts / financial reconciliations
Prepare ad-hoc / monthly / annual tax declarations and reports (VAT, CIT, FCWT,...)
Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of reports
Maintain accounting systems and enforce policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local regulations (Accounting, Tax, Banking) and Group policies regarding Accounting and Internal controls related to Accounting systems
Working directly with Banks and managing banking transactions (payments, deposits, loans, LCs, FX,...)
Be the key contact point and lead the external audits, tax audits
Support line manager internal control systems related-tasks, internal audits
Supervise, manage and provide coaching to Accounting team (direct reports)
Read, understand, interpret and analyse financial statements and reports as guided by MD to provide meaningful analysis to Management / other internal stakeholders
In charge in improving financial operation systems & processes
People training and development (give coaching, develop and provide internal training to other team members as well as F&A-related training to other functions)
Maintaining a culture of integrity, compliance and probity in the accounting team
Other relevant tasks as assigned by Management
