The Canadian International School System - Vietnam (CISS-VN) operates three programs in Ho Chi Minh City, consisting of CIS, BCIS, AES, and CVK. The Canadian International School (CIS) serves Kindergarten - Grade 12 students where the Ontario curriculum is taught. The IB Diploma Program is also offered to students in Grades 11 & 12.
The Canadian International School (CIS) is looking for potential candidates for the position of Teaching Assistant with the following details:
Support the main teacher (international and Vietnamese) to manage the class and organize teaching activities. Providing individual support to children in learning centers.
Giving extra help to children who need extra support to complete tasks as well as motivating and encouraging students.
Support teachers to enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behaviour.
Read English stories to students to support their English learning.
Support individually or in small groups of students when required
Class coverage when the main teacher is not available
Prepare materials for teacher during non-instructional time
Be an interpreter in a parent-teacher conference. Translate all documents sent to Vietnamese parents.
Bridge communication among students, Vietnamese teachers & English teachers in the classroom.
Helping with school events, trips and activities.
Do other administrative works and jobs assigned by the supervisor.
