You will build the client side of our mobile social games: everything the player sees and touches, and how it talks to our backend services. Our stack is Lua for game logic and features, a C++ core, and native iOS and Android integration, designed for data-driven, server-configurable features and fast iteration. You do not need to know it already.
Strong engineering fundamentals and how quickly you learn matter most. We encourage the use of AI tools in your daily work, and we value previous experience in C++, mobile, games, or any of the areas below. You do not need a games background.
Duties and Responsibilities The Client Engineer will report to the Technical Director with duties including: Build and maintain game and feature client code, mostly in Lua, and work with the C++ and native layers as needed
Build data-driven, server-configurable features (feature flags, server-delivered offers, downloadable assets and scripts)
Integrate with backend REST/JSON APIs and real-time services (multiplayer, messaging, voice)
Work on purchase and monetization flows, including pending-transaction recovery
Integrate third-party SDKs (analytics, ads, push, social login, support) and their BI events
Ship slot games and meta-features with artists,
designers, QA, and engineers, favoring reusable, configurable code
Profile and optimize memory, load times, and frame rate on low-end devices
Learn and improve a large, long-lived codebase: trace issues across layers, refactor safely, document decisions
Take part in design and architecture discussions Qualifications 3+ years of professional C++ experience (modern C++, memory management, debugging native crashes). Game industry experience is not required Solid
