Restaurant ManagerJob Summary: The Cultural & Heritage Tour Guide is responsible for delivering engaging cultural and historical tours that enhance the fine-dining experience for guests. This role focuses on storytelling, cultural interpretation, and guest engagement by introducing the history, traditions, and culinary heritage behind the restaurant's concept, cuisine, and design.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled cultural and historical tours for guests during dining service
Present the cultural origins, historical background, and culinary philosophy of the restaurant and its cuisine
Explain cultural symbolism behind interior design, tableware, and rituals
Engage guests through storytelling while maintaining a refined, professional demeanor consistent with fine-dining standards
Answer guest questions accurately and respectfully regarding Asian culture, history, and cuisine
Collaborate with Front of House and Management to align tour timing with service flow
Support special cultural events, tastings, or chef-led experiences when required
Ensure all cultural content is delivered consistently and in line with the restaurant's brand narrative
Proficiency in English, Chinese is required; can read the traditional Chinese (Hán) and Nôm scripts is an advantage.
Strong interest in Asian culture, history, or culinary heritage; Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills
Comfortable speaking in front of small to medium-sized groups
Prior experience in hospitality, tourism, education, or cultural guiding is preferred
Professional appearance and polished interpersonal skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak service hours
Working Schedule: Tuesday - Sunday; From 12:00 pm to 20:30 pm.
