Responsibilities
Lead troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of data center infrastructure.
Help test and troubleshoot server hardware components and designs.
Configure and troubleshoot OS-related issues on server.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a data center environment or similar technical domain.
Experience with computer and server hardware, or troubleshooting/diagnosing.
Experience with operating systems and networking infrastructures.
Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time as required.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience in project management and leadership.
Experience in maintenance and monitoring of server systems.
Ability to collaborate and partner with teams to overcome challenges.

The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the high quality physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology.
As a Data Center Technician, you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware (e.g. servers and their components) and server software (e.g. Google's Linux cluster). You will manage the configuration of components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and networking protocols.
