The Job
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to support our cloud-based data infrastructure. This role is responsible for deploying and managing SQL Servers and Cosmos DB, developing and optimizing T-SQL queries, and designing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data integration. The ideal candidate will ensure performance, security, and availability of database systems while automating data processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases and Cosmos DB in Azure.
- Develop, tune, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Build and manage ADF pipelines for data integration and automation.
- Monitor database performance, indexing, and security to ensure reliability.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
Your Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong T-SQL skills and expertise in query optimization.
- Experience with database security, performance tuning, and data governance.
- Familiarity with networking and authentication in Azure.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database and ETL issues independently.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
