About the Role
In this role, you will play a critical role in collecting, cleaning, and maintaining some types of crypto trading data. You will also contribute to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data, a cornerstone of Birdeye's success.
Working location: Our
Hanoi Office.
Your Responsibilities
1. Data Collection
Gather cryptocurrency data from diverse sources including exchanges (centralized and decentralized), wallets, and blockchain explorers.
Utilize various methods for specific data points, such as web scraping, contacting project teams directly, and leveraging online resources.
Collaborate with engineers to develop automated data collection tools (scrapers, APIs) whenever possible to streamline the process.
2. Data Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleanse the collected data meticulously to ensure accuracy and usability. This involves identifying and addressing inconsistencies, errors, and missing values.
Apply various data cleaning techniques like deduplication, data standardization (dates, currencies), and data transformation (if necessary) to prepare the data for analysis.
Continuously monitor data quality metrics and implement processes to ensure Birdeye's data meets the highest standards.
3. Knowledge and Expertise
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in cryptocurrency data quality.
Leverage your understanding of crypto projects and ecosystems (tokenomics, governance structures) to assess the plausibility of manually collected data and identify potential inconsistencies.
Possess a strong understanding of data quality principles and methodologies.
