Database Engineer (PaaS Team)

Main Responsibilities
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Database Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based database solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support modern cloud applications, optimize database performance, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Architecture: Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Cloud Database Management: Provision, configure, manage, and monitor various cloud database services (e.g., RDS, NoSQL databases, OLAP database, search engines like elasticsearch, opensearch).
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain automation scripts and IaC templates (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for database provisioning, configuration, and management.
• Data Migration and Integration: Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises to the cloud or between different cloud database services. Design and implement data integration solutions between various systems.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, data masking, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor junior database engineers and share best practices within the team.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams to provide database design guidance, troubleshoot database-related issues, and optimize data access patterns.
• On-call Support: Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical database systems.
