Deputy General Manager

Responsibilities:
- Hit department revenue target and develop business in mid-term perspectives including (i) monitor market development, (ii) identify opportunities, and (iii) create and execute competitive business strategy/value-added for defined products and services, with well-understanding and managing the issues of CFD (Following SBV's regulation, limited VND liquidity etc.)
- Manage sustainable business operation including supervise and manage and mitigate wider risks timely and appropriately
- Initiate business and process improvements across the range of services
- Manage, lead and coach group of people
- Primary purpose and responsibility are including, but not limited to:
Relationship-building and marketing for non-Japanese corporate customers i.e. Vietnam corporate (Private, SOE), MNC and Financial institution in Vietnam.
Create business strategy, identify opportunities, build business pipelines, and contribute to the revenue and development of Company Financial Group.
Provide and offer extensive and sophisticated financial solutions to existing/potential customers and prospect names to meet their needs.
Organize deals with customers and coordinate the process with relevant departments in MHFG and Vietcombank (Our strategic partner) in order to maximize our group profit and productivity.
Review credit applications.
Monitor customers' financial condition and credit worthiness, then take necessary actions in accordance with relevant internal credit procedures.
Provide oversight and direction to CFD which cover Non-Japanese business, ensuring CFD operates within all internal/external policies and procedures to manage and control the adverse impact of relevant risks such as operational, financial, reputational and compliance risks.
Identify opportunities for and implement plans for operational efficiencies and other business process improvements.
As direct reports, manage CFD by setting objectives, allocating roles, overseeing appraisals and maintaining discipline.
Resource CFD with people with capabilities and diversity to succeed.
Support subordinated to develop their skill set.
Personally comply with regulations related to banking business and internal rules.
Take responsibility for any other ad-hoc tasks, projects requested by GM, JGM.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from university with major in banking, finance, business administration or equivalent.
15+ years working experience in Bank, mainly as RM who develop and maintain good access to C-suite managements in large Corporate - high profile conglomerate in Vietnam.
Working experience in international banks and 5 years in management level are preferable.
Good knowledge & insight for specific industry or theme such as Energy, Property, Project Finance, ESG Finance , is positively considered
Around 45 - 50 years old (Negotiable)
